The figure was first cut out and then replaced by a sheet of orange plexiglass, using the same material but of contrasting colour as suggested by the original.
A small fissure around the edge allows the pins that hold it in place to give it movement and a steel support at the base to keep the sheet balanced and contain the illuminating bodies. The front-to-rear lighting sequence generates magical chromatic effects, with nuances of solid and shadow, that we like to think would have satisfied the artist himself.
